Paying Lip Service

Alrighty readers, without going into a rant here. Or at least trying not to. Let’s talk a little bit about apathy.

The Free Online Dictionary defines apathy as:

1. Lack of interest or concern, especially regarding matters of general importance or appeal; indifference.
2. Lack of emotion or feeling; impassiveness.

I am a self proclaimed advocate against injustice. I can’t sit back and watch things go on around me that aren’t right. I can’t just do nothing. So it boggles my mind to see others do it. I just can not fathom not standing up for something.

Aaron Tippin has a great song about this. Here is the chorus:

He’d say you’ve got to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything
You’ve got to be your own man not a puppet on a string
Never compromise what’s right and uphold your family name
You’ve got to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything

All you have to do is look at America’s poor voter turnouts to see that apathy runs rampant. But hey, no political discussion here. Most of you wouldn’t agree with my liberal views anyhow. But I digress.

Let’s bring this back to the Kimkins saga. Look around the web you see many people give/pay lip service to the saga. But precious few really do anything about it.

There are a multitude of dissatisfied former members of Kimkins. Yet how many have actually joined the Kimkins Class Action Lawsuit. Still others have just written it off as another diet they tried that did not work.

There are many people engaged in this fight to bring Heidi Diaz AKA “Kimmer” to justice that never tried the Kimkins Diet or fell for the Kimkins Scam. Yet they are out nearly everyday posting comments, reporting spam blogs, making reports to the places on the Take Action Now page. Why do they do it? Simply because it is the right thing to do. In closing, let me leave you with these final words.
